Who we are
Germany Unlocked (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides a website that helps people understand possible pathways to living, working, studying, or training in Germany, based on the information they provide to us. Germany Unlocked is operated by elloo Labs, a Philippine sole proprietorship. You can reach us at contact@germanyunlocked.com.ph for any question about this policy or your data.
Our DTI registration number and registered business address are pending completion of registration and will be added here once available.
What information we collect
When you use our pathway roadmap tool, we collect:
- Your questionnaire answers — such as your goal (e.g. work, career change, vocational training, study), field and profession, German language level, and recognition/qualification status. We use this only to generate your personalized pathway roadmap.
- Your name and email address — collected when you submit the lead-capture form to unlock your full roadmap result. We use this to send you your result and to follow up with relevant information about your pathway.
- Basic usage information — such as which steps of the roadmap you reached. This is collected through our own systems only (see “Cookies and similar technologies” below), not tied to your identity, and not shared with third-party advertisers.
We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what you voluntarily provide as part of describing your professional situation, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or similar technologies (such as browser storage) for things like keeping the roadmap questionnaire working correctly as you move between steps, and understanding, at a general level, how people use the site so we can improve it. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes in a way that requires your consent, we will update this policy and ask for it at that time.
How we use your information
We use the information above only to:
- Generate and deliver your personalized pathway roadmap
- Send you your result and relevant follow-up information by email
- Understand, at a general level, how people use the roadmap tool, so we can improve it
- Respond if you contact us with a question or request
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to independently determine your immigration, visa, recognition, or employment eligibility — those determinations always come from official German and EU sources, which we cite directly in your result.
Who we share information with
We share limited information with the following service providers, solely to operate the website:
- Brevo (email delivery) — receives your name and email address in order to send you your roadmap result.
- Hostinger (hosting) — hosts the website and the information stored on it.
If you use the “Inquire” feature to contact a listed provider (such as a language school, exam center, or recruitment agency), we send that specific provider the information you enter in the inquiry form — your name, province, city, and email address, and, if you reached Find Services through your personalized roadmap, the relevant details from your questionnaire answers — so they can respond to your enquiry. This only happens when you choose to send an inquiry to a specific provider; we do not share your information with any provider you have not contacted.
We do not share your information with recruiters, schools, or other third parties in any other way without your separate, explicit consent.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information for up to 12 months after your last activity with us (for example, the last time you complete a roadmap, respond to an email, or otherwise interact with the site), after which it is deleted or anonymized. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time, and we will do so except where we are required to keep certain records by law.
Your choices
You can:
- Ask us what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Withdraw your consent to being contacted at any time

If you are in the Philippines, you also have rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, including the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as the website’s features change or as legal requirements evolve. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
